Rev. Dr. Patrick F. Hunt

Pastor

Dr. Hunt has been married for 48 years to Linda and together they have 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He attended Youngstown State University from1966 – 68 in pre-med studies and transferred to Moody Bible Institute graduating in 1971. His studies continued at Liberty University and completed a doctorate at Master’s International University of Divinity in Evansville, IN.
Dr. Hunt began ministry in Chicago, IL in 1969 as a member of the Chicago Team Ministry as pastor of Englewood Mennonite Church and subsequently as a church planting missionary with the Mennonite Board of Missions in Davenport, Ia. from 1970 – 1973. Concurrent with his pastoral ministry he worked with Moody Radio Station WDLM in Moline, Ill. From 1974 – 79, his ministry continued while serving as a Youth Guidance Director working with adjudicated delinquent youth. The family moved to Berea, Oh in 1979 and he became the director inner-city ministries with Greater Cleveland Youth for Christ. While serving in Youth for Christ, he was an Associate Pastor with the Peoples’ Community Church in Berea, OH for 26 years and was the Athletic Director of Berea High School with the Berea City School District for 16 years. Rev. Hunt has served in the Ohio Association of Congregational Christian Churches as the Vice Moderator, Moderator, and Trustee. In the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches, he is a chairing the Growth Ministry Council. Dr. Hunt has proudly served as the pastor of Heritage Congregational Church since April 2007.
